1. Information We Collect

We collect no personal information. Pansophia is designed to operate entirely on your device without requiring accounts, analytics, or tracking of any kind.

2. Data Stored on Your Device

The app stores the following data locally on your device. This data never leaves your device:

Browsing history — recently viewed entries (up to 50 items)
Bookmarks — entries you have bookmarked for quick access
Progress tracking — which entries you have visited
Quiz scores — your spaced repetition quiz performance data
Usage counters — weekly page view counts used for the free tier limit
Purchase status — managed entirely by Apple/Google through StoreKit or Google Play Billing; we do not store payment information

You can clear all locally stored data by deleting the app from your device.

3. Network Requests

Pansophia makes one optional network request:

PubChem API — When viewing a chemistry compound's 3D molecular structure, the app may fetch structural data from the NIH PubChem database. This request sends only the compound identifier (CID). No personal data is transmitted. If the request fails, the 3D viewer is simply hidden.

All reference content (entries, formulas, cross-references) is bundled within the app and requires no internet connection.

4. In-App Purchases

Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit or Google through Google Play Billing. We do not receive, process, or store any payment information, credit card numbers, or account credentials.

5. Third-Party Services

Pansophia uses no third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking services. We do not integrate with any social media platforms.

6. Children's Privacy

Pansophia does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The app is suitable for all ages and complies with COPPA.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we ever change our privacy practices, we will update this page and the effective date above. Given our commitment to zero data collection, we do not anticipate significant changes.
