Privacy Policy

1. Who This Policy Covers

This policy covers the apps published by Bonsai Horizons, LLC:

• Cogwright — parametric CAD for iPad
• Pansophia — the STEM Pocket Reference for iOS and Android

2. Information We Collect

We collect no personal information. Both apps are designed to operate entirely on your device without accounts, sign-ins, analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind.

3. Cogwright

Cogwright collects nothing. Its App Store privacy label is "Data Not Collected," and that is the whole story:

• No account, no server — there is nothing to sign into, and the app functions fully offline.
• Your documents — the parts you create stay in the app's on-device storage and in whatever exports or shares you make yourself. If iCloud Drive support ships in the future, that storage belongs to your Apple account, not to us.
• Diagnostics — crash and hang reports and on-device usage tallies exist only on the device, in the app's Documents/Diagnostics folder. They leave the device exclusively when you tap Share and send the file somewhere yourself. Nothing is ever sent automatically.

4. Pansophia

Pansophia stores the following data locally on your device. This data never leaves your device:

• Browsing history — recently viewed entries (up to 50 items)
• Bookmarks — entries you have bookmarked for quick access
• Progress tracking — which entries you have visited
• Quiz scores — your spaced repetition quiz performance data
• Usage counters — weekly page view counts used for the free tier limit

Pansophia makes one optional network request: when viewing a chemistry compound's 3D molecular structure, the app may fetch structural data from the NIH PubChem database. This request sends only the compound identifier (CID) — no personal data. If the request fails, the 3D viewer is simply hidden. All other reference content is bundled within the app and requires no internet connection.

You can clear all locally stored data by deleting the app from your device. The same is true of Cogwright.

5. In-App Purchases

Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit or, for Pansophia on Android, by Google through Google Play Billing. We do not receive, process, or store any payment information, credit card numbers, or account credentials. Purchase entitlements are checked on-device using Apple's signed transactions or Google's billing library.

6. Third-Party Services

Neither app uses third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking services, and neither integrates with any social media platform.

7. Children's Privacy

Our apps do not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Both apps are suitable for all ages and comply with COPPA.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we ever change our privacy practices, we will update this page and the effective date above. Given our commitment to zero data collection, we do not anticipate significant changes.
