01Services

What we build.

Custom work in wood and metal — no flat-pack, no approximate.

Custom Woodwork, Furniture, & Shelving

Built-in shelving, custom furniture, and woodwork made to fit your space exactly — solid pieces, built around how you'll use them.

Welding & Metal Fabrication

Gates, railings, brackets, repairs, and one-off steel pieces — fabricated and welded to spec, square and solid.

Fences, Sheds & Garden Structures

Fences, storage sheds, raised beds, planters, and garden structures — sturdy outdoor builds, sized and finished your way.

Small-Batch CNC Production

Precision parts, custom signage, wedding favors, or any short production runs cut on CNC equipment — accurate and consistent.

02Recent Work

Trophy & display cases

Custom display pieces for a softball career — wall-mounted cherry trophy case with peg holders for medals/ribbons and a custom photo-real reproduction pitcher-silhouette inlay, plus a home-plate-shaped trophy stand for separate display.

Oak nightstand refinish

Solid oak nightstand brought back from glass-ring damage — top sanded to bare wood, restained to match, fresh top coats applied.

Heavy-duty shelving

Custom basement storage shelving — pine framing cut to size with keyed mortise-and-tenon joinery, black walnut keys, OSB shelf boards, installed on site.

Whale-tail shelf

Bathroom accent shelf with the distinctive whale-tail side profile — tiers sized for toilet paper rolls and the common countertop accessories.

Oak chessboard

Hand-cut quarter-sawn oak squares fitted into a solid oak frame, glued, finished, and set up for play.

Hydroponic system

Custom hydroponic grow setup — a lumber-framed raised bed lined with pond liner holds the nutrient water; square plywood lids cover the top, with net pots seated in their cutouts to hold each plant.

CNC carved pieces

Custom relief and engraving work cut on CNC equipment — from in-progress on the bed to finished pieces in walnut and baltic birch.

Three-tier bathroom stand

Custom three-tier bathroom stand — assembled in place over the toilet with bar clamps during glue-up, then sealed, finished, and protective coating applied.

Deck stairs rebuilt/replaced

Rotting deck stairs and underlying framing rebuilt — old orange-brown topcoats and aged lumber replaced with new structure, fresh treads, and clean stringers.

03The Shop

Who you're hiring.

Hire Bonsai Horizons and you're hiring Rich Lowe — the person who measures the job, builds it, and installs it. No crew turnover, no middleman.

Rich is a U.S. Air Force veteran and a career engineer, and it shows in the work: careful measurements, square joints, and a finish that holds up. A bonsai is shaped slowly and deliberately, and built to outlast the hand that shaped it — same standard here, whether it's a bookshelf or a fence line.
